Our favorite wedding days?

The ones who prioritize memories in motion!

Photos freeze a moment in time forever, and of course that’s special. However, there’s something even more nostalgic about seeing memories in motion all over again. Imagine listening to your spouse’s vows to you on a hard day, seeing your grandma giving you that last hug, or watching your loved one dance around joyfully before a tough diagnosis… these are the moments that just feel different in videos.

When you book us for both photo + video coverage, you can rest easy knowing that style will be consistent, your gallery and videos will have all the same moments captured, and the less repetition means the faster you get to the party!

Our videography team brings an approach that’s truly immersive and personalized. By documenting every moment, we’re able to craft a wedding film that’s as unique as each couple’s story—no two videos are ever structured the same. We use vibrant, true-to-life colors and music that enhances each story, not just the popular tracks. By using a pre-wedding and post-wedding questionnaire, we capture not only the visuals but also the essence of what’s most meaningful to you.

It should never be a cookie-cutter approach.

Ready for a challenge?

We invite you to take a few moments to watch a couple of our favorite wedding films, imagining yourself in those moments.

If you come away feeling unmoved, we’ll leave it at that.

But if you find yourself smiling, tearing up, or feeling a surge of excitement for your own wedding day, let’s connect and talk about bringing your story to life with video coverage.

FAQ

  • Three main differences:

    1. Highlights are built to music, while feature films are built with both music and audio recordings of vows or private letters. Overall, the feature films are a little more personalized, in our opinion!

    2. Highlights are meant to hit the high points, first and foremost. Features are created and filmed in a way that capture the high points, the low points, and all of the in-betweens.

    3. The overall length of the completed film will vary. Details for these are listed under our wedding collections breakdown.

  • We are happy to take suggestions and preferences!

We use a software called MusicBed in order to legally and properly license music for our films. However, we have become pretty dang good at reading the room and getting a good feel for the day. This helps us to pick songs that help tell your wedding day story.

But, if you’re still concerned, we are happy to listen and provide a list of songs for you to choose from!

  • Over the years, we’ve had many couples ask us about RAW video footage as well. The truth of it is, RAW video footage is NOT what you think. Instead, it is typically hundreds of 2-10 second clips from multiple angles of similar content. This means some are bumpy, some are out of focus, and some just straight up are not a flattering angle. Creative freedom is so important to us, and this truly includes being able to choose from multiple clips.

We typically don’t shoot longer, straight-through clips unless our couples specifically add on services such as uncut ceremony recording, speech footage, or the closest to RAW footage as you can get— our Video Documentary Package.

  • Think home-video meets high quality keepsake!

Stationary ceremony video coverage from start to finish with audio is one camera, typically set up at the very back of the aisle. We try to keep it as centered and simple as possible.

  • When choosing a video collection that includes audio, we highly recommend that couples choose to share private vows prior the ceremony, write personal vows, or allow us to pre-record their vows or personal letter reading. Our videos are meant to tell your love story and there is an important value that spoken audio brings to your video. We always mic a groom/bride in a tux/suit.

We use small lapel mics. We prefer to mic brides in dresses, but we realize that sometimes dresses are too snug to hide the mic box. This is when we’d encourage a pre-recording but also ask the bride to speak up loudly enough during the ceremony that the officiant’s mic or the spouse’s mic pics up their voice. As a back up, we also always plug into a sound board when it is available or allowed by the vendor.

So, what do you think?
